התוכנית ל.M.Sc במתמטיקה פיננסית
קיימת בבר אילן מאז 2008. המקצוע, שמכונה גם הנדסה פיננסיתמכין את הבוגרים לעבודה בשוק
ההון, בבנקים, בתי השקעות, חברות ביטוח, חברותלשירותים פיננסיים, משרדי ראיית
חשבון. התוכנית מתרכזת על ניהול סיכונים ותמחורנגזרי. יותר מחצי מהסטודנטים מכלכלה
ומנהל עסקים. היתר ממקצועות מדעי הטבע, מתמטיקה,מדעי המחשב, הנדסה ופיסיקה.
התוכניתמיועדת לאנשים עובדים
ולכן השיעורים והמבחנים מתקיימים בימי ראשון אחר הצהרייםובימי שישי עד 13:30.
הלימודים מתחילים באוקטובר ונמשכים ב4 סימסטרים עוקבים - כוללסימסטר קיץ. ההרשמה
מתחילה בפברואר כל שנה וממשיכה עד שמתמלאת המיכסה של 50סטודנטים לשנה. התוכנית

Rooms and Room Changes:
w Classes will be held Sundays, 13:00-21:30 and Fridays, 8:00-1:30.
w The language of instruction is Hebrew. Tuition is standard Israeli university tuition for an M.Sc.
w Approximately 50 students per year are accepted, all to the non-thesis track. After the first semester grades are available, students with a high average are offered the option of transferring to the thesis track, with less coursework in the last two semesters.
w For those from a non-mathematical background or those whose math is rusty, there is a recommended preparatory summer mathematics course twice a week in the evening for six weeks: linear algebra up through eigenvectors, calculus up through multiple integrals, and elementary probability
w Summer classes will be held for three hours a week for nine weeks, mid-July to mid-September.
