Gal's Geeks: Alumni Undergraduates
- Our RoboCup 2010 SPL team (Team BURST): Dikla Tapuhi (Ramati), Or Kamara, Inbar Aharon, Jeremy Shohan, Danielle Barda, and Lior Shlomov
- Inbal Rika and Avishay Zilka have worked with me and with Natalie Fridman (then, PhD student) in 2010, on various topics in crowd modeling.
- Hila Zarosim has worked with Dorit Avrahami and myself on fast algorithms for plan recognition, as part of her final undergraduate project. The results have been published in the MOO 2005 workshop.
- Jared Go and Thuc Vu have worked with me during 2001–2002 as undergraduate research assistants. We worked closely on the MONAD system, which explored ideas in team-oriented programming of GameBots agents. Thuc has won the CRA 2004 undergraduate award, and went on to Stanford CS. Our work has resulted in an AAMAS 2002 paper on a teamwork architecture called MONAD.
- Mehmet Fidanboylu and Allen Chang have worked with me during 2001–2002 on sequence learning for a RoboCup coach, as undergraduate research assistants. The results of our joint work was published in the RoboCup Symposium of 2002.
- Steve Schaffer and Chris Sollitto have worked with me during 2000–2001 on GameBots as undergraduate research assistants. Their work extended the interface (including graphics and programming), and they were the authors of the first C++ client for GameBots. Steve started at NASA/JPL (and pursuing an MSc at USC). I unfortunately lost track of Chris’ whereabouts (Chris, if you’re reading this, let me know :-)).
- Jan Wendler visited Carnegie Mellon from Germany while I was working there as a postdoc. His research focused on understanding teamwork and coordination in order to improve a team of agents. Our joint work was published in the AAAI Fall Symposium of 2001.
