Ghosview: Viewer/Printer of postscript Documents
Introduction
Note: If you are working on a unix station, then you may assume that
this program is already installed. However, PC's usually
don't come with this software.
The Ghostview software allows viewing and printing postscript
files.
You can download and install it on your PC easily,
from
http://www.cs.wisc.edu/~ghost/gsview/index.html
.
Viewing postscript files
I assume that you use Explorer on WIN95/98.
When you click on a postscript file in the internet,
you will be asked if you wish to open the file or to save
it to your disk. Answer "open".
The first time that you do this, your system will
ask you to tell it where is the program that
should open the file. Choose "other", and look for
the program "gsview32" in the directory where you installed
the software.
The next time that you click on a file with extension .ps,
it will open automatically.
Good luck!
