Description
The 9th Bar-Ilan Symposium on the Foundations of
Artificial Intelligence (BISFAI 2007) will be held June 20-22, 2007, at the
Gonda
Brain Research Center, Bar-Ilan University, Ramat Gan, Israel.
We call for papers on substantial novel research in all areas of theoretical and applied Artificial Intelligence (AI), including, but not limited to:
- AI algorithms and knowledge representation
- AI foundations and automated reasoning
- Computational linguistics and natural language processing
- Information retrieval
- Text mining and data mining
- Intelligent agents
- Knowledge-based systems
- Machine learning
- AI planning and search
- Robotics and multi-robot systems
- Probabilistic reasoning
- Temporal reasoning
NLP and Robotics Tracks
The conference will include two special tracks, on NLP (June 20) and on Robotics, which will be held in parallel to the general AI sessions. All accepted papers in these areas will be presented at the corresponding track. Submissions to these areas should specify the corresponding track in the cover letter and the abstract itself. The NLP track will be conducted as a joint event of BISFAI-07 and ISCOL, the annual Israeli Seminar on Computational Linguistics. The Robotics track will be conducted as a joint event with the Ministry of Science's Infrastructure Program in Robotics.
